Abstract

IMAGINARY started as a math art exhibition by the Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut Oberwolfach and evolved into an open source platform for interactive math exhibits. This paper presents hands-on advice on how to make an exhibition using the platform and covers topics like team, budget, venue, production, media work and guidance. It is based on our experience with more than 80 IMAGINARY exhibitions in 20 countries. Most of them were organized independently by universities, research institutes, museums and schools.
